Roberson cruises in night one of Fall Nationals at Natural Bridge

Making the short trip to Natural Bridge Speedway (Natural Bridge, Va.), Logan Roberson invaded the Virginia oval on Friday evening to kick off the two-day Fall Classic competing in the Crate Late Model ranks.

In a field of 29 Late Models, Logan backed up the fourth-fastest qualifying effort with a heat and dash victory. Leading wire-to-wire in the 35-lap feature, Roberson rocketed into the lead on the drop of the green flag and won by more than a five-second margin to claim his fourth win of the season and a $3,000 payday. He finished ahead of David Pangrazio, Ronnie Martin Jr., Walker Arthur, and Kyle Hardy.

Entering his Crate Late Model into battle with the Limited Late Models on Saturday, Roberson’s fourth-place finish in his positioned him on the fourth row for the $5,000-to-win Fall Classic finale. He powered his Riggs Drilling Solutions No. 17 CVR Race Car Late Model to a third-place finish in the 50-lapper, chasing Kyle Hardy and Trevor Feathers to the checkers.
